ALICE ACTON IS AN AUSTRALIAN MULTI-DISCIPLINARY ARTIST BASED IN MELBOURNE.

Working across paint and photography—with a current focus on the latter—her practice explores portraiture, documentary, still life, fashion, and art through both digital and analogue mediums. Her work is defined by a distinctive use of shape and composition, resulting in imagery that sits between fine art and editorial, intentionally departing from traditional maternity portraiture.

At the heart of her practice is an ongoing exploration of the feminine form and the transformative journey from maiden to mother. Her visual storytelling reflects a deep affinity with women and mothers, capturing moments that feel both intimate and considered.

Influences of food, fashion, and design are woven throughout her work, informing both aesthetic and narrative. Alongside her personal practice, Alice collaborates with brands to develop and articulate their visual language—an evolving aspect of her work that continues to shape her creative direction.
